Charles McClure, aka Young Doe or Charles Truth
Charles McClure (aka Young Doe or Charles Truth) is a highly renowned music artist, producer, author and serial entrepreneur who has proven that even if you are given a poor hand of cards, you can still end up winning the game. Featuring 30 hit albums to date, Charles has an extensive background and expertise involving creating authentic music, business development innovations, and entrepreneurship dynamicity, and possesses a keen resilient nature that has collectively helped drive his exponential success and growth as a multi-industry leader.
Growing up around intense drug abuse and violence, Charles's starting point in life was certainly a humbling one. But as unfavorable as his environment was, he was born with an instilled entrepreneurial mindset and musically inclined abilities - two rooted traits that motivated Charles to launch his first recording studio in his parents’ basement called Montbello's Finest in 1995 at the age of 15. Since then, Charles has cultivated a strong inventory of recording accomplishments that have positioned him to become the influential producer that he is today. Those include operating a recording studio at the Lookout Mtn youth facility, developing a 6-person rap group (Innerstate Ike, Hawk Man, Scrilla D, Colfax Cac, Analiza Slim, and Charles) called M.N.L.D with his childhood friend named Travis in 1996, and starting a record label and recording studio entitled Elite Ent with a friend and mentor named Boozilla beginning in 1998.
While building his music and producing empire, even establishing a recording studio called The Mob House with his M.N.L.D group members in 2000 while on bond, Charles was forced to halt upon being sentenced to federal prison for four years. As adverse as this period was, Charles chose to make the most out of his sentence by writing his now published book called "Welcome to the Maze" and began his second one entitled “The Carlo Crimson Story" prior to his release in 2004. When Charles was free, it didn’t take long for him to pick up where he left off, opening another recording studio to continue Elite Ent. Furthermore, he invested in a tour van in order to travel throughout the Midwest, West Coast, and various Southern states to perform shows, promote, and network with other artists from 2004 to 2008. Charles later collaborated and traveled with DJ KTone based in Denver and his road manager, Nuchie from the Bay Area.
From there, Charles branched out his profession even more and began to utilize his accounting and screen-printing education as well. Between 2009 and 2010, he bought a physical and digital distribution company and the rights to some album masters from a mentor named Showtime. Showtime also placed Charles in charge of the Colorado branch for sales of the energy drink called Hunid Racks. During this time, Charles also created a screen-printing company in his garage in 2009, growing it into a monumental warehouse screen printing business with automatic print machines by the year 2014. He did this while also acquiring Bronco Gang merchandise with Innerstate Ike in 2013. In addition, Charles started a clothing line in 2018 called Livin' Decent with a few of the M.N.L.D group members, along with a friend named Karl. Soon after, in 2019, Charles opened the Cold Crush restaurant & bar with his business partner Brian and a few other partners in Lancaster, CA. Even more, Charles started a family-owned business called Steam-A-Way Carpet Cleaning Solutions in 2020 and started the online flea market called Xpressionmart.com to support his daughter with her lip gloss collection in that same year.
Charles's most recent ventures include creating Custom Clothing 101 in 2021 to mentor, guide and empower others wanting to start or advance a clothing brand, launching a clothing store with a friend, J. Stalin within the Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City, and fortifying a Champagne called Crown rosé & Crown Blvd.
As a passionate professional with a ‘never give up’ mentality, nothing makes Charles happier than being able to set a precedent that anyone can achieve their career objectives and make a name for themselves, regardless of their history or upbringing. Furthermore, he has a genuine ardency for his entrepreneurial roles and enjoys being able to deliver powerful, statement-making music pieces that provoke emotional influence and invested attraction.
